What is Rhodiola Rosea?
Rhodiola rosea is a perennial perennial found mainly in northern and central Asia, but also in the mountain regions of Europe and sub-arctic areas of North America. In our country, it occurs naturally in the crevices of limestone rocks of the Sudetes and Carpathians. The name rhododendron refers to the characteristic rose scent of the rhizome and the pink colour that appears inside when broken.
Rhodiola rosea extract is a source of many active substances that have a positive effect on the functioning of the body, among which the most important are cinnamon alcohol derivatives, collectively referred to as rosavins, and salidroside, belonging to phenolic compounds. In addition, Rhodiola rosea extract is also a treasury of other substances beneficial to the body: mono- and triterpenes, flavonoids, essential oils and polyphenols – such as gallic and chlorogenic acids
